Administrative Support

Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Candidate shall provide administrative support for the production of the bimonthly GEH newsletter
The Candidate shall troubleshoot GEH user problems and/or open trouble calls to the GEH (CS) help desk for tracking the calls through problem resolution
The Candidate shall perform required GEH system administrator maintenance functions such as processing end-of-session and interface programs/procedures
The Candidate shall troubleshoot various computer and network related issues in coordination with the base Communications Squadron and other entities, as required
The Candidate shall manage life cycle of computer systems and software for GEH Manage life cycle of computer systems and software for GEH.
The Candidate shall install and troubleshoots software on IT assets (servers, desktops, laptops) to include commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government developed applications/systems
The Candidate shall monitor ongoing operation of network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning properly and operational standards are met.
The Candidate shall provide ongoing technical support to customers to ensure proper functional use of equipment and programs and to preclude undue interruptions to Information Technology (IT) services
The Candidate shall explain system capabilities, limitations, and output variations to users and resolves problems for users who encounter system related problems
The Candidate shall answer phone calls, take messages and refer callers to appropriate offices, as needed
The Candidate shall submit weekly email status reports to government Asset Accountability.
The Candidate shall perform administrative and office support activities that require an ability to multi-task and assist multiple NIH employees at once.
The Candidate shall support work according to established or standard project/office procedures.
The Candidate shall perform word processing, spreadsheet management, and conducts advanced internet research.
The Candidate shall review and disseminates memorandums to NIH staff, conducts documents control for routing through office, prepares purchase request for small purchases, reviews draft policies, SOP’s, memorandums for grammar and format.
The Candidate shall coordinate travel and submits data into the NIH travel System.
The Candidate shall perform Administrative Tasks for General Office Support Services, Services Support, Travel Support Services, Meeting Support Services, Mail Support Services, Procurement Support Services, Property Management Services, Personnel Support Services, and Publication Support Services.
Requirements:
CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT: US Citizenship

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Associated college degree or a high school diploma
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
The Candidate should have four (4) years of related work experience
The Candidate should have Minimum of three years’ experience in conferences and event managements; 1-2 years’ Experience includes taking responsibilities and leading design and management of various Events.
The Candidate should have working Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (2013 and 2016)
Travel may be required for this position
