POSITION OVERVIEW
- The Candidate shall develop a timeline for each bimonthly GEH newsletter
- The Candidate shall document and tracks decisions about content for each bimonthly issue.
- The Candidate shall create layouts and graphic design for newsletters.
- The Candidate shall provide supervision on overall graphics and layouts of the content, newsletters.
- The Candidate shall collaborate with GEH Federal staff to determine the scope of a project.
- The Candidate shall provide recommendations to GEH Federal staff on strategies to reach a particular audience.
- The Candidate shall Work with GEH Federal staff to determine the message the design should portray.
- The Candidate shall create images that identify a product or convey a message.
- The Candidate shall develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites.
- The Candidate shall Work closely with GEH Federal staff to select colors, images, text style, and layout.
- The Candidate shall incorporate changes recommended by the GEH Federal staff into the final design.
- The Candidate shall review designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
- The Candidate shall collaborate with NIH staff to determine the scope of a project.
- The Candidate shall provide recommendations to NIH staff on strategies to reach a particular audience.
- The Candidate shall work with GEH staff to determine the message the design should portray.
- The Candidate shall create images that identify a product or convey a message.
- Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites.
- The Candidate shall receive creative briefs and executed creation of web-optimized assets for weekly marketing/messaging campaigns and features.
- The Candidate shall serves as a key player in agency’s designs workflow process
- The Candidate shall used diverse inputs to identify and define exciting new concepts, opportunities, and customer problems.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree. Vocational degrees considered. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- The Candidate should have Minimum of 7-9 years’ experience in writing and editing articles, journals and contents, minimum 5-7 years’ experience in designing and editing government or high profile brochures, cover pages and templates.
- The Candidate should have higher proficiency using the following Microsoft Office software applications; Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, One Drive, and SharePoint.
- The Candidate should have higher proficiency using Endnote and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- The Candidate should have Intermediate or higher proficiency using Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
- The Candidate should have Graphics design experience with Federal Government.
- The Candidate Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, graphic design/production environment
- The Candidate should have demonstrate ability to meet project deadlines and successfully manage multiple projects
- The Candidate should have ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and cross functionally
- The Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The Candidate should have exceptional creativity and innovation
- The Candidate should be organized with attention to detail
