Software QA Engineer

As a Software QA Engineer at AMAGI, you will be responsible for facilitating the testing for a new product’s features with our InsurTech-focused digital team. The QA Engineer is responsible for manual and automated testing for a new, digital product using JavaScript (front and back-end) and Excel.

A successful candidate will start for 3-6 months as a remote contractor with us and then have an option to be transferred to full-time status at our leading InsurTech start-up client depending on performance. Client is operating in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Philippines.

Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience using modern QA technologies related to JavaScript, Node.js, and Excel
  • Experience with Manual, Usability, Unit, and Integration Testing
  • Exposure to Test Automation tools like Selenium, Jest, Chai, and others
  • Experience with Performance and Memory Profiling on the Front and Back-Ends
  • Experience using Swagger/OpenAPI
  • Know the difference between 2006 and 2013 Excel formula calculations
  • Good knowledge of SDLC and thorough understanding of various modern testing methodologies and an eye for detail skills
  • Keen analytical skills and a self-starter in learning new functional and technical skills required for effective testing
  • Experience with version control (Git)
  • Creative with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be a team player and effective collaborator with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in a FinTech or Insurance company would be helpful

  • QA for Web Front-End: 4 years (Preferred)
  • QA for Node.js: 4 years (Preferred)
  • JavaScript: 2 years (Preferred)
  • QA for Excel: 2 years (Preferred)
